From Tampere to Abbey Road – Anni Pohto: The Rising What does it take to bring your songs to the mecca of music, Abbey Road? Singer-songwriter, pianist and producer Anni Pohto, originally from Tampere and now based in London, shares the story of her journey to the legendary studio with her team, and presents a public test screening of the studio-live film The Rising. ⏱️ Timetable: 17:30 doors open: free Baba Foods snacks for the 30 first comers! 18:00 Milou 18:30 Tomi Olavi 19:00 The Rising Studio Live test screening 20:00 hang out til late! The home concerts started with a simple idea: bring people together in a private (safe) space, share my music, and see what happens when random-yet-not-that-random people hang out. This is that same idea, but this time the space is not private, but ODD! 🔊On Thursday 5th November we are taking over ODDspace in Vallila for an evening of music, film, and collective energy — the last gathering before the crowdfunding campaign for “The Rising: Studio Live” closes on Saturday 7th Nov.📢 The evening features short acoustic live sets from two artists I admire: Milou (introducing uplifting French pop) and Tomi Olavi, the "singing hummus man", and a final test screening of the studio live documentary filmed and recorded at Abbey Road Studios. Afterwards we can hang out until late. I won’t be performing. This time, I’m holding the space for others, because that’s what this project has always been about: what becomes possible when we show up for each other. The film, the campaign, this evening… they are all part of the same thing. A collective act of belief that music and culture made with intention, by real humans
